Brittingham's Irish Pub Begins Construction [PHTOS] Patch Plymouth-Whitemarsh, PA --

Construction has begun at Brittingham's Irish Pub on Germantown Pike in Lafayette Hill; a Patch reader snapped three photos of a piece from the backside of the building being removed with construction equipment on Monday morning. The pub is slated for a late-August reopening.

The business was purchased by Randy Feinberg and David Eckelmeyer earlier this year; Whitemarsh Township approved a conditional use permit and the bar closed just after St. Patrick's Day.

Patch previous posted renderings of the proposed renovations, provided by Morrissey Design, LLC, of Flourtown.

Last week, owners held a two-day sale in preparation of the construction; tables, chairs, mirrors, patio furniture and more were sold.

If you're looking for something to do while you wait for construction, check out the restaurant's new menu, which includes Irish classics like fish and chips and bangers and mash, as well as short rib nachos and cornmeal calamari. Reported by Patch 2 hours ago.
