DVD review: ‘The Driver’ has Morrissey as a tough cabbie If you’ve been enjoying David Morrissey as the Governor on “The Walking Dead,” you will be left breathless as he puts aside lifeless politics to swerve and careen his taxicab through the least beautified areas of Manchester as cabbie Vince McKee. Hey, old chum, sign on as the driver for a leading city criminal known simply as the Horse (Colm Meany, that grand villain of the U.S. series “Hell on Wheels”). There’s always a new turn for the worse, including a planned burglary, and the Horse’s trust in Vince keeps losing gas, adding to the tension. Bonuses consist of a photo gallery and a few minutes of making-of footage. —
