On Sunday's episode, The Governor (David Morrissey) rallies his new community to capture the prison. [...] Rick turns things around on The Governor, saying if a war starts, the prison will be damaged beyond repair. [...] The Governor doesn't take Rick's offer, and instead slices Hershel's neck with Michonne's Katana sword. Lilly arrives with Meghan, who was killed by a walker, in time to see The Governor chopping Hershel's head off - and then saying his famous comic book line, "Kill them all!" The midseason finale ends with the surviving group members scattered and, even more disoncerting, baby Judith missing.
